Hello, I am Jerry Witman Jr, a Graphic Designer, Artist and “Geek of all Trades”.
I am proficient in using everything Adobe CC. (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Dreamweaver, etc.) and I am pretty good with power tools too. (Hey Mom, I’m using my Theater Degree!)
I always wanted to be an artist as a kid, and I thought that I would be sitting in a studio painting canvases until the cows came home but there was one down side to that dream… I don’t like cows very much and my painting skills were mediocre at best.
So I got a Theater degree from Saint Leo University where I learned how to paint, draw, design, build and act four times a year in our tiny little theater/old gymnasium.
Disney World Performer
I took these skills and landed my first career in the Walt Disney World Entertainment department. There I perfected my acting and dancing skills by doing seven shows and two parades a day for the next 10 years. Eventually I though it was time for a new adventure.
Stay at Home Dad
In the gap from my Disney life and my current Graphic Designer life, I started a family. In between changing diapers, feeding babies and watching reruns of Lost, I taught myself the entire Adobe Creative Suite software, so I could build an online role-playing game, The C.O.R.E Collective which was surprisingly successful. I needed something to do while the kids napped.
Now, I am just biding my time until I win the lottery working on cool design projects and building fun costumes for people all over the world.
It was a really cool time on the internet. Cosplay was just starting to find some legs and new tools made it really easy to collaborate. Pepakura was the newest thing available and is still one of the best ways to build your own armor. I was a huge fan of the Halo series at …
